Arda's cleansing (in Darkshore)

As soon as I reached Darkshore I felt something was wrong in the forest. I came from Darnassus, where everything is pure and clean, and Darkshore caused in me a strange feeling. It was a dark and shadowy place, where you must be very careful if you don't want to be killed by some merciless creature.

The first thing I saw was Auberdine, where I found there were a lot of troubles to be solved.

A short time ago a strange being had arrived (or get out of their caves, or evolved) and was poisoning the whole place. Animals became very aggresive, they attacked anyone who would walk near them. They all were ill, but nothing was known about this illness.

Given my generosity (read:thirst for power, mony and xp) and the fact that my help was needed, I decided to help hem, so I went into the forest quickly. My first purpose was to purify (read:stab&kill) every living being afflicted by the strange illness. As soon as I entered the woods I found a creature for which I would have no mercy.

I started backstabbing it as only I know, and between two hits I saw someone coming out of Auberdine running towards me and yelling.

[Auberdine's Guard]:> Ardaaaaa!!!!
[Arda]:> Don't worry, this creature won't keep on destroying your forest.
[Auberdine's Guard]:> No! Wait!! I gotta tell you something!!!
Arda cuts her enemy's throat and ends it with a direct dagger to its heart
Auberdine's Guard arrives by Arda's side and stays stunned in horror
[Arda]:> Done, one less, let the others come!!! Who's next?
[Arda]:> Well, What did you want to tell me?
[Auberdine's Guard]:> THAT you have just killed...
[Arda]:> Yeah, you don't have to thank me, that's what I'm here for, to get rid of these creatures.
[Auberdine's Guard]:> No, that's not the point...
[Arda]:> ahm...then what?
[Arda]:> Spit it out.
[Auberdine's Guard]:> He was your guide...
[Arda]:> I knew a bear couldn't speak elven so well...
[Arda]:> Well, doesn't matter, I'll work it out alone, I'm like a living compass...

It mustn't be so hard to find the North in a forest, isn't it?

I have a map and a compass (besides a macro telling me the coords and an addon which tells the coords of the pointer over the map). Having this in mind I went deep into the forest killing everything that got in my way: the new race on the zone, panthers, bears, imps, demons, deers, furbolgs, birdies, nagas, bunnies...yes, bunnies. Those little demonic beings with long ears always twitching their noses and eating carrots all the time (you can never know what tey're up to those little things).

Eventually I arrived to a beach. It was perfect, because I needed a rest for all the killing and stabbing done had tired me a bit. I hid my clothes carefully (don't ever underestimate the skill of rogues hiding things) and I got a relaxing bath. Except that damend murloc-like sound (damn, I hate those things).

Getting out of the water I saw someone not too far. I went to ask him if he knew how to come back to Auberdine, I had had enough killing and my compass got broken in the water (damned electronic compasses...). When I got there I saw it was a goblin with a robot beside him.

He looked troubled, and instantly talked to me:

[Goblin]:> Elf, you gotta help me!
[Arda]:> Calm down and tell me what happens. And don't ever call me that again, I have a name
[Goblin]:> Ok, sorry elf.
[Arda]:> ¬¬
[Goblin]:> It's my robot! I think he got too much sun or maybe some sand got into his circuits, the thing is that every few minutes, he becomes aggressive and hits me and I gotta run away.
[Goblin]:> Pleas, help me fix it. You can protect me as I look at the panel on its back....will you do it?
[Arda]:> I'm very tired and I was just on my way to the inn...
[Goblin]:> I'll pay you
[Arda]:> What are we waiting for?
Arda accepts the quest "What's the problem with the robot?" (Elite)
[Arda]:> hey dude, what means a quest is elite? how is it different from a normal one?
Broken Robot gets activated and runs towards you
[Erickblack]:> that means the mob you gotta kill is elite
Broken Robot hits you for 275
Your Sinister Strike hits Broken Robot for 35
Broken Robot hits you for 215
You're dead
[Erickblack]:> you need to be some levels above the mob's or be in a party with more people
[Arda]:> don't tell me more, and he hits harder, does'nt it?

I ran back to my body to take vengeance. It had to die for what it had done. As soon as I was ready I ran to it, but this time I knew what I was facing, so I standed my ground for one more hit than before.
At the fifth try I remembered I had to come back tooooo.......the inn tooooo......dooooo.........something. Really. It's death would have to wait for the next day (or the next week, or the next month).

5 hours later I found the path that led to the crossroads of the path wich crosses the main road which starts in Auberdine.
I arrived to the inn and got into bed to take my well deserved rest.

What did we learn today, kids?
Two main things:
1.- Don't kill your guide
2.- If you see the word "élite" you'd better run away
